Impact Studies
TCN analyzes the future traffic impacts of proposed developments which have included residential subdivisions, office buildings, manufacturing plants, restaurants, cinemas, service stations, banks, hotels, motels and retail centers. The firm’s engineers research existing available data, determine field conditions, analyze traffic level of service and determine needed traffic mitigation measures to maintain adequate traffic flow. The latest traffic analysis software is used to quickly and accurately compute vehicle delays for individual movements, approaches and entire intersections.
Traffic Forecasting Model Use TCN staff have been involved in the development and fine tuning of transportation models. These models have included EMME/2 and TModel/2 software. TCN has established working relationships with TModel Corporation and Clyde Scott Associates to perform the model development and perform specialized analyses. TCN staff have participated in long range transportation and land use planning efforts for several cities. TCN has been involved in the development of special analysis modules to account for the upstream queuing propagation due to long blockages of railroad grade crossings. |
