Special Parking Designs
TCN staff have produced special purpose parking lot designs for commercial, government agency and private clients.

One commercial parking lot design accommodated tour bus circulation paths through a customer parking lot and provided a bus loading area without requiring removal of critical landscaping trees. It also included remote staging areas for waiting tour buses.

Another parking lot design on a military base included special circulation arrangements to coordinate with one-way access roads and steep grades. In addition this project provided access paths for WB-40 semi-trailers and also provided isle designs to allow maneuvering an SU-30 vehicle to an existing loading ramp adjacent to a circulation isle.

TCN has participated in several school parking lot designs and access roadways that incorporate bus loading areas and separate general parking areas that have joint access points requiring special geometric treatments and traffic control.

Parking designs incorporating provisions for the disabled, pedestrian walking facilities, shopping cart returns, landscaping treatments and buffers and storm water quality features have also been developed by TCN.
